As I write this and if any CNN poll can be believed or verified, seventy-five percent (75%), of republicans do not believe that Joe Biden won the presidential election. If freedom of speech is still valued in this nation, you can add me to that lot as well. Those high numbers of people, having that belief is frightening to the democrats, especially since they did their utmost to scrub that idea from the pages of their newspapers and the screens of their media rooms. I for one will hate to see President Trump go and we wish him a fond farewell. Speaking of farewells, it brings me great pleasure to memorialize the president's farewell speech. Thank you and enjoy.

The White House

THE PRESIDENT: My fellow Americans: Four years ago, we launched a great national effort to rebuild our country, to renew its spirit, and to restore the allegiance of this government to its citizens. In short, we embarked on a mission to make America great again — for all Americans.

As I conclude my term as the 45th President of the United States, I stand before you truly proud of what we have achieved together. We did what we came here to do — and so much more.

This week, we inaugurate a new administration and pray for its success in keeping America safe and prosperous. We extend our best wishes, and we also want them to have luck — a very important word.

I’d like to begin by thanking just a few of the amazing people who made our remarkable journey possible.

First, let me express my overwhelming gratitude for the love and support of our spectacular First Lady, Melania. Let me also share my deepest appreciation to my daughter Ivanka, my son-in-law Jared, and to Barron, Don, Eric, Tiffany, and Lara. You fill my world with light and with joy.

I also want to thank Vice President Mike Pence, his wonderful wife Karen, and the entire Pence family.

Thank you as well to my Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows; the dedicated members of the White House Staff and the Cabinet; and all the incredible people across our administration who poured out their heart and soul to fight for America.

I also want to take a moment to thank a truly exceptional group of people: the United States Secret Service. My family and I will forever be in your debt. My profound gratitude as well to everyone in the White House Military Office, the teams of Marine One and Air Force One, every member of the Armed Forces, and state and local law enforcement all across our country.

Most of all, I want to thank the American people. To serve as your President has been an honor beyond description. Thank you for this extraordinary privilege. And that’s what it is — a great privilege and a great honor.

We must never forget that while Americans will always have our disagreements, we are a nation of incredible, decent, faithful, and peace-loving citizens who all want our country to thrive and flourish and be very, very successful and good. We are a truly magnificent nation.

All Americans were horrified by the assault on our Capitol. Political violence is an attack on everything we cherish as Americans. It can never be tolerated.

Now more than ever, we must unify around our shared values and rise above the partisan rancor, and forge our common destiny.

Four years ago, I came to Washington as the only true outsider ever to win the presidency. I had not spent my career as a politician, but as a builder looking at open skylines and imagining infinite possibilities. I ran for President because I knew there were towering new summits for America just waiting to be scaled. I knew the potential for our nation was boundless as long as we put America first.

So I left behind my former life and stepped into a very difficult arena, but an arena nevertheless, with all sorts of potential if properly done. America had given me so much, and I wanted to give something back.

Together with millions of hardworking patriots across this land, we built the greatest political movement in the history of our country. We also built the greatest economy in the history of the world. It was about “America First” because we all wanted to make America great again. We restored the principle that a nation exists to serve its citizens. Our agenda was not about right or left, it wasn't about Republican or Democrat, but about the good of a nation, and that means the whole nation.

With the support and prayers of the American people, we achieved more than anyone thought possible. Nobody thought we could even come close.

We passed the largest package of tax cuts and reforms in American history. We slashed more job-killing regulations than any administration had ever done before. We fixed our broken trade deals, withdrew from the horrible Trans-Pacific Partnership and the impossible Paris Climate Accord, renegotiated the one-sided South Korea deal, and we replaced NAFTA with the groundbreaking USMCA — that’s Mexico and Canada — a deal that’s worked out very, very well.

Also, and very importantly, we imposed historic and monumental tariffs on China; made a great new deal with China. But before the ink was even dry, we and the whole world got hit with the China virus. Our trade relationship was rapidly changing, billions and billions of dollars were pouring into the U.S., but the virus forced us to go in a different direction.

The whole world suffered, but America outperformed other countries economically because of our incredible economy and the economy that we built. Without the foundations and footings, it would have worked out this way. We wouldn’t have some of the best numbers we’ve ever had.

We also unlocked our energy resources and became the world’s number-one producer of oil and natural gas by far. Powered by these policies, we built the greatest economy in the history of the world. We reignited America’s job creation and achieved record-low unemployment for African Americans, Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, women — almost everyone.

Incomes soared, wages boomed, the American Dream was restored, and millions were lifted from poverty in just a few short years. It was a miracle. The stock market set one record after another, with 148 stock market highs during this short period of time, and boosted the retirements and pensions of hardworking citizens all across our nation. 401(k)s are at a level they’ve never been at before. We’ve never seen numbers like we’ve seen, and that’s before the pandemic and after the pandemic.

We rebuilt the American manufacturing base, opened up thousands of new factories, and brought back the beautiful phrase: “Made in the USA.”

To make life better for working families, we doubled the child tax credit and signed the largest-ever expansion of funding for childcare and development. We joined with the private sector to secure commitments to train more than 16 million American workers for the jobs of tomorrow.

When our nation was hit with the terrible pandemic, we produced not one, but two vaccines with record-breaking speed, and more will quickly follow. They said it couldn’t be done but we did it. They call it a “medical miracle,” and that’s what they’re calling it right now: a “medical miracle.”

Another administration would have taken 3, 4, 5, maybe even up to 10 years to develop a vaccine. We did in nine months.

We grieve for every life lost, and we pledge in their memory to wipe out this horrible pandemic once and for all.

When the virus took its brutal toll on the world’s economy, we launched the fastest economic recovery our country has ever seen. We passed nearly $4 trillion in economic relief, saved or supported over 50 million jobs, and slashed the unemployment rate in half. These are numbers that our country has never seen before.

We created choice and transparency in healthcare, stood up to big pharma in so many ways, but especially in our effort to get favored-nations clauses added, which will give us the lowest prescription drug prices anywhere in the world.

We passed VA Choice, VA Accountability, Right to Try, and landmark criminal justice reform.

We confirmed three new justices of the United States Supreme Court. We appointed nearly 300 federal judges to interpret our Constitution as written.

For years, the American people pleaded with Washington to finally secure the nation’s borders. I am pleased to say we answered that plea and achieved the most secure border in U.S. history. We have given our brave border agents and heroic ICE officers the tools they need to do their jobs better than they have ever done before, and to enforce our laws and keep America safe.

We proudly leave the next administration with the strongest and most robust border security measures ever put into place. This includes historic agreements with Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and El Salvador, along with more than 450 miles of powerful new wall.

We restored American strength at home and American leadership abroad. The world respects us again. Please don’t lose that respect.

We reclaimed our sovereignty by standing up for America at the United Nations and withdrawing from the one-sided global deals that never served our interests. And NATO countries are now paying hundreds of billions of dollars more than when I arrived just a few years ago. It was very unfair. We were paying the cost for the world. Now the world is helping us.

And perhaps most importantly of all, with nearly $3 trillion, we fully rebuilt the American military — all made in the USA. We launched the first new branch of the United States Armed Forces in 75 years: the Space Force. And last spring, I stood at Kennedy Space Center in Florida and watched as American astronauts returned to space on American rockets for the first time in many, many years.

We revitalized our alliances and rallied the nations of the world to stand up to China like never before.

We obliterated the ISIS caliphate and ended the wretched life of its founder and leader, al Baghdadi. We stood up to the oppressive Iranian regime and killed the world’s top terrorist, Iranian butcher Qasem Soleimani.

We recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

As a result of our bold diplomacy and principled realism, we achieved a series of historic peace deals in the Middle East. Nobody believed it could happen. The Abraham Accords opened the doors to a future of peace and harmony, not violence and bloodshed. It is the dawn of a new Middle East, and we are bringing our soldiers home.

I am especially proud to be the first President in decades who has started no new wars.

Above all, we have reasserted the sacred idea that, in America, the government answers to the people. Our guiding light, our North Star, our unwavering conviction has been that we are here to serve the noble everyday citizens of America. Our allegiance is not to the special interests, corporations, or global entities; it’s to our children, our citizens, and to our nation itself.

As President, my top priority, my constant concern, has always been the best interests of American workers and American families. I did not seek the easiest course; by far, it was actually the most difficult. I did not seek the path that would get the least criticism. I took on the tough battles, the hardest fights, the most difficult choices because that’s what you elected me to do. Your needs were my first and last unyielding focus.

This, I hope, will be our greatest legacy: Together, we put the American people back in charge of our country. We restored self-government. We restored the idea that in America no one is forgotten, because everyone matters and everyone has a voice. We fought for the principle that every citizen is entitled to equal dignity, equal treatment, and equal rights because we are all made equal by God. Everyone is entitled to be treated with respect, to have their voice heard, and to have their government listen. You are loyal to your country, and my administration was always loyal to you.

We worked to build a country in which every citizen could find a great job and support their wonderful families. We fought for the communities where every American could be safe and schools where every child could learn. We promoted a culture where our laws would be upheld, our heroes honored, our history preserved, and law-abiding citizens are never taken for granted. Americans should take tremendous satisfaction in all that we have achieved together. It’s incredible.

Now, as I leave the White House, I have been reflecting on the dangers that threaten the priceless inheritance we all share. As the world’s most powerful nation, America faces constant threats and challenges from abroad. But the greatest danger we face is a loss of confidence in ourselves, a loss of confidence in our national greatness. A nation is only as strong as its spirit. We are only as dynamic as our pride. We are only as vibrant as the faith that beats in the hearts of our people.

No nation can long thrive that loses faith in its own values, history, and heroes, for these are the very sources of our unity and our vitality.

What has always allowed America to prevail and triumph over the great challenges of the past has been an unyielding and unashamed conviction in the nobility of our country and its unique purpose in history. We must never lose this conviction. We must never forsake our belief in America.

The key to national greatness lies in sustaining and instilling our shared national identity. That means focusing on what we have in common: the heritage that we all share.

At the center of this heritage is also a robust belief in free expression, free speech, and open debate. Only if we forget who we are, and how we got here, could we ever allow political censorship and blacklisting to take place in America. It’s not even thinkable. Shutting down free and open debate violates our core values and most enduring traditions. In America, we don’t insist on absolute conformity or enforce rigid orthodoxies and punitive speech codes. We just don’t do that. America is not a timid nation of tame souls who need to be sheltered and protected from those with whom we disagree. That’s not who we are. It will never be who we are.

For nearly 250 years, in the face of every challenge, Americans have always summoned our unmatched courage, confidence, and fierce independence. These are the miraculous traits that once led millions of everyday citizens to set out across a wild continent and carve out a new life in the great West. It was the same profound love of our God-given freedom that willed our soldiers into battle and our astronauts into space.

As I think back on the past four years, one image rises in my mind above all others. Whenever I traveled all along the motorcade route, there were thousands and thousands of people. They came out with their families so that they could stand as we passed, and proudly wave our great American flag. It never failed to deeply move me. I knew that they did not just come out to show their support of me; they came out to show me their support and love for our country.

This is a republic of proud citizens who are united by our common conviction that America is the greatest nation in all of history. We are, and must always be, a land of hope, of light, and of glory to all the world. This is the precious inheritance that we must safeguard at every single turn.

For the past four years, I have worked to do just that. From a great hall of Muslim leaders in Riyadh to a great square of Polish people in Warsaw; from the floor of the Korean Assembly to the podium at the United Nations General Assembly; and from the Forbidden City in Beijing to the shadow of Mount Rushmore, I fought for you, I fought for your family, I fought for our country. Above all, I fought for America and all it stands for — and that is safe, strong, proud, and free.

Now, as I prepare to hand power over to a new administration at noon on Wednesday, I want you to know that the movement we started is only just beginning. There’s never been anything like it. The belief that a nation must serve its citizens will not dwindle but instead only grow stronger by the day.

As long as the American people hold in their hearts deep and devoted love of country, then there is nothing that this nation cannot achieve. Our communities will flourish. Our people will be prosperous. Our traditions will be cherished. Our faith will be strong. And our future will be brighter than ever before.

I go from this majestic place with a loyal and joyful heart, an optimistic spirit, and a supreme confidence that for our country and for our children, the best is yet to come.

So, let's review, shall we? On the night of November, 3rd, 2020 moving into the morning of November 4th, while millions of American voters waited for the election results to be revealed and released, ballot counting in key so called, battleground states were halted. One can only assume what happened between the hours when the counting stopped and when the counting began again, several hours later into the afternoon of November 4th, and days beyond. When counting did begin again, it seemed as if the numbers for president Trump were frozen in place, while the numbers for Joe Biden kept inching up. The democrats in the media saw no problems with this and we all were encouraged to conduct business as usual.

As the ballot counting tally moved more and more in Joe Biden's favor, any talk of fraud or cheating, were roundly condemned and ridiculed. We're never to trust our lying eyes and ears and increasingly, our lying mad minds either. During the 2020 summer of love with riots in every major democrat run city, we were being told, while businesses, burned, that these were peaceful protests. The Orwellian parallels are astounding. So, to summarize, peaceful arsonist, looting stores, protest no stolen cheating elections and the American public can never believe their lying eyes, ears and minds. Got it.

Now fast forward to yesterday, January 6th, 2021. Many real peaceful protesters showed up in Washington DC to demonstrate against the stolen elections and also to show support for president Trump. A group of people stormed the Capitol building and were allegedly Trump supporters, where's the evidence that these people were indeed Trump supporters? I mean I don't care either way, to me it was fun to watch them storm the building, I was kinda hoping to see a bonfire too. Of course, the democrat media talking heads and their collaborators in the deep state, specifically the US Congress are quick to blame Trump and every person present in Washington DC as the people who attacked the Capitol and my favorite pass phrase, from the soon to be installed, moron in chief, Joe Biden, “..attacked our democracy.” Whatever that is. I never had any love for democracy because democracy is indeed mob rule at it's very essence. Democracy is two wolves and one sheep taking a vote to see what's for dinner. The American people once had a republic and probably still do but I'm not sure that the democrats and or their talking heads in the propaganda democrat media even knows the difference between the two.

So Today, January 7th, the media, the deep state, the uni party, and all swamp creatures, great and small, now have their narrative. Trump instigated revolution, chaos and mayhem, he must be thrown out of office and Nancy Pelosi has ordered Vice President Mike Pence, to invoke the 25th amendment, so that he and the president's cabinet, can throw the bum out. She also gave them an ultimatum, do as she commands, or her and the entire congress will impeach Trump. I have no doubt that they'll try. The question here, is to what end? I mean constitutionally, the president is leaving in a week or two, what's the motivation of the swamp creatures to ruin Trump? I think it may not be so obvious, so I'll try to explain. They must fear his support. They must fear the vast amount of people who follow this man and they must find a way to contain us before we get out of control and they lose what they fear the most. Their power. Although, I don't know why they feel fear. They now have total power and control of the swamp. They've cheated their way to the top and proved that crime does pay, evil will always win over good and following the rules and laws anywhere, are for suckers.

The democrats in the media, deep state and their supporters have tried to frame Trump and his supporters for the last four years and the news narrative today calling for the heads of Trump and Trump supporters is nothing new. Will they be waging war with us, all seventy million plus of us? Yes they will definitely try. Although, as long as we all remain vigilant, I think that they'll be fighting an uphill battle all the way and they may have underestimated the American people one time to much. Only time will really reveal what is to come.

It was a fun day yesterday, after that little temper tantrum in DC, I'm pretty sure, democrats and a few other members of the uni party will be sure to pull our gun passes. So much for freedom and liberty, eh? I digress, I already knew that the democrats wouldn't ease up off their cheating stance, so the fix was proverbially in. The Democrats, seem to be natural villains at this, don't they? Placed in that context, it makes them seem almost likable. Almost. Republican politicians, need to start encouraging programs and other studies, related to both real and imaginary blind panhandlers, and how to invest in the tin cups, that would help in such lucrative money making endeavors. Ah, come to think about it, maybe they'll need some company. Hey, after the proposed Biden, Harris administration, I think, we'll all need to learn new ways of making a living.

It's always a learning experience when one hits rock bottom, be it actually or metaphorically. When that happens, there seems to be only two viable options left, namely, fight to get back up or resign oneself to die. If the year 2020 have revealed anything to anyone, is that, somehow, somewhere, the spirit of the American needs to be broken. Their hopes, dreams and abilities must be crushed and broken. I'm not sure how many people are familiar with the saga of Job but if it were a movie that I would star, act and direct, I already know who my leading cast would be. That folks, would be the American people, playing every character, in that book. Get ready to do some of your best acting America, for this sequel, like the original won't be a comedy, musical or fiction. At the risk of embarrassment, I'll try to recall the story, tell it and see if I can conceptualize it. Job was a good God fearing man, he also had a family that shared his enthusiasm. Apparently, the devil was jealous of Job and hatched a plot to destroy Job's life. I also appreciate the authors of the Bible, when telling their tales, playing up the angle that suggest that, the devil is somehow, possibly more intelligent, that our Lord. It's a neat trick that is perfectly acceptable if one can indeed, pull it off. Anyway, the devil somehow persuades God to kill Jobs children, servants, livestock, crops and I don't remember clearly, perhaps his wife, as well. Like his fellow democrats, the devil wasn't satisfied, he wanted the one thing that God wouldn't give him, he really wanted Job dead. The Lord, however, denied him that pleasure. So, the devil, in what probably seemed, as a perfectly devised strategy, devised a scenario wherein, Job would be infected with multiple maladies, in addition to, all his other calamities and hopefully curse his God in the process. I'm sure there's a devil, democrat correlation to be made, here. What tyranny wouldn't be only too happy to preside over the destruction of a person's ability to be self sufficient? What tyranny wouldn't deny a body happiness and self determination? Finally, and by no means the least, what tyranny wouldn't rejoice in aiding and abetting in the act of the faithful cursing and mocking his or her God? It turns out, however, that the story of Job, could, if indeed, tailored for a movie, a play in the theater, a musical perhaps, would indeed, sell and be a very popular and lucrative endeavor.

It turns out, though, if I remember correctly, that somehow, Job turned his life around and although, highly improbable, achieved even more success than that of before and if I didn't know better, I would think that there's a hidden, or not so hidden moral to the story. I'm not quite sure what it could be but it's cresting on the tip of my subconscious tongue.

Also, I'd like to herald in some heroes, truth be known, I actually, wrote this article because of these men and women. The media and the other leftists seem eager to brand these people the enemy and if this indeed, happens to be true, then so am I too. I'm going to read this list, many times and I'll try to place faces with names. I don't expect this list to grow any bigger, on the contrary, I expect many of the people, whose names are present here to abandon ship at the soonest opportunity. The uni party is not something that college students love doing. No, it's my affectionate name for the politicians living off the hog in Washington, DC. They constantly sell out the birthright, liberties and freedoms of American citizens. They constantly work against us and, while we think that they work for us and are actually our public “servants”, I'm sure real thinking, practical people have finally come around and accepting that it may indeed, be the other way around. I mean becoming a politician, especially a democrat politician must be the most lucrative occupation in the world. What other profession affords one the ability to come across as an average middle class citizen, get elected to office, I recommend the US house of representatives, get paid $180,000 a year, get kickbacks and all sorts of unknown goodies, eventually becoming one of the richest people in the world? It's obvious that I wasn't thinking along these lines when I was younger. This is the life for all Americans. Elected officials, especially democrats, can literally get away with murder if they choose to. Republicans may hold office but democrats hold the power. The democrats are insanely adept at politics. I was going to state that they're extremely good at dirty politics and then I realized that I would be, being redundant.

Indeed, I've read in places, that early Americans and by early Americans, I mean the Americans who were pondering cutting ties with England and the monarchy, were concerned that having a congress was no better than being ruled by a king or queen. Many even thought it might be better to be ruled by one king as opposed to a hundred congressmen, or whatever number the happen to be. You get the point. As always, the founders of this great nation, were wiser than many give them credit for. For, here it is today, we see that the entire United States government is more mad, more corrupt and certainly more wasteful than all the English monarchs combined. They don't even care what the citizenry thinks. As long as they're holding power, then the rest of us can go sod ourselves. History seems to have ways to repeat itself, doesn't it?

I was happy to see Americans throwing caution to the wind today with the little dust up in Washington, DC today, by storming the palace on Capitol Hill. I don't care who did it and who it makes feel ashamed, it was nice to see, I thought. I'm probably the exception, though. I really doubt it but I hope that the crowd scared the snot out of at least a few members of the legislative body, they need to remember that they're really some crazy misguided people out here that, do not like the way they interact with us and wouldn't mind kicking the crap out of them for all their ills.

Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will probably be the latest royals to rule over us soon, and it seems as if the democrats will have us by the balls. When Joe said that we'll have a dark winter this year, he was understating matters a bit. When political parties can steal elections whenever it suits them, they'll make sure that our springs and summers are equally dark too.

What's that saying, the tree of liberty needs watering with the blood of both tyrants and patriots. I'm sure that tree's still thirsty.

It started out as another dismal day politically, however it livened up a little on Capitol Hill later this evening. As usual getting accurate reporting from anywhere, these days, is always sparse and questionable. I can only speak for myself, but I've become so cynical, that I can't believe anything I hear or see politically. I'm sure even my political experiences are being scrutinized by every fiber of my being.

I don't know who these protesters in Washington, DC are, they could be democrat infiltrators for all I know but with all the protest this summer featuring the left wing democrats, it's not the least bit upsetting to see Americans attempting to put the fear of God into the swamp dwellers in the nation's capital. They're proved time and again that they do not respect the American people. This includes both parties. I've now become accustomed thinking of them as the uni-party. They may claim to be from two separate houses but they, the members of both parties only care about their own perceived power. I supported a peaceful protest however, sometimes a little reciprocal chaos is in order. Also, if these people are going to riot and raise hell then I hope that they make it count.

The politicians have used this alleged pandemic as a pretense to steal our rights and it has climaxed in our new realization that not even our right to elect whom we choose, is guaranteed anymore, as evidenced by the disgraceful third world election sham, that occurred on November, 3, 2020. What is apparent to everyone, is how quickly the Capitol police acts against some protesters as opposed to others. The protesters today are being shown the blunt force one would have loved to have seen this summer.

Exactly, police have stood down for left wing protesters but whether or not, these are Trump supporters, or infiltrators, one can't help but notice that the response in force, is markedly different. Republican politicians are cowards and they will pay a political price for what has gone down since November, until this day. They have essentially ceded the country to the democrats and so have we. We'll live to fight another day but our republican traitors may have to join the democrat party if they ever wish to continue in politics.

Where do patriots go from here? While the politicians must be made to pay for their blatant disrespect, corruption and cowardice, the patriots must unite our efforts and coordinate our forces as we find new ways to preserve our rights and liberties.

I'm beginning to think no. If and when white Americans are a permanent minority, then the United States of America, for all intent and purposes, ceases to exist.

Why am I even discussing such a divisive issue? It's simple really, I left my home to take a walk, something which I do often from time to time and what I see, I'm sure, is plainly seen by all even preschoolers. Take a walk on any American street and you'll see that in neighborhoods that are predominantly non white, you really must watch your step and I mean this literally. For, in sections of my own neighborhood, I rarely have to worry about stepping in some dog shit, getting assaulted, raped or robbed in a white neighborhood but especially stepping into dog shit. White Americans, for the most part have the uncanny habit of following laws and rules, to the point of being obsessive. A trait that is most lacking these days, in so called civilized society.

Some people only pretend to obey the rules, they only do so, if at all, when they think others are looking. Though I hardly if ever, step in dog shit these days, it is a testament of all those dog owners who obey and follow the law. Recently, I've noticed, walking the streets, the same sanitized obsessed people, who probably think wearing masks makes them think that they're valorous, think that it's fine not to clean up their dog waste. When I walk pass a pile of dog shit, on the sidewalk of downtown, any town, USA, I know the owner of that dog wasn't white. I know it because I only see dog shit on sidewalks where other people live and it's not whites leaving their neighborhoods, walking their dogs, hoping to take a shit on the little people. I know discussing topics like this isn't popular and can be construed as being crass and insensitive and perhaps, it may be. However, I'd like to walk on sidewalks without having to worry about about walking a minefield covered in dog shit. I bring race into it because, whenever I'm taking a walk on any sidewalk occupied by white Americans I hardly ever have to worry about dodging feces.

Now, I know some people, who may end up reading this may wonder what my motivation is for typing this. Did I step in a huge pile of shit? The answer is no. I'm just seeing piles and piles of it increasingly, lately, everywhere and I'm fed up with watching greatness assaulted by mediocrity, while seemingly good people do nothing about it and accept it as normal while the consider conformity.

Now I know I'm the bad guy, I'm going to ruffle more that a few feathers because I notice that in some parts of the city or towns which I traverse adhere to different standards. Is it that particular city's officials that are at fault because individuals can't obey the rules? I don't think so. Some people don't believe rules and laws apply to them. Increasingly, if one waits for the walk icon on a traffic light before walking into traffic, that person is considered the oddball. People who think freedom and individual rights are paramount, are considered selfish and extreme. Ask, yourself, is that the reason why so many people come to the United States of America? So that they can help pave the sidewalks of our cities with the excrement of their dogs? For those who think the streets of the USA are paved in gold, and certainly they cost as much, but lately some want to make sure that they're paved in excrement and not just the excrement of dogs either, just ask the people of San Francisco.

National Debt Clock Why isn't the website hosting the US debt clock not the most popular site among US citizens? Perhaps, it's because, if that clock is to be believed, it's just a matter of time before we and our politicians bring us and the United States, all to our knees when we have to take the debt seriously and are forced to pay it back with real money.

If the complacency, demonstrated by the US electorate on the crappy, sham, third world style elections, is any indicator, or the two week shutdowns which lasted way more that the allotted time, from March 2020 until today, New Years Eve 2020, the US national debt will not be taken seriously either.

At this writing, the national debt is a staggering $27,553,528,900,900 and rising as every second ticks by. In English is twenty seven trillion, five hundred fifty three billion, five hundred twenty eight million, nine hundred thousand, nine hundred. dollars. I hope I wrote that correctly. It's a staggering sum of money. No one seems to care about the growing amount of money Americans seem to be accruing by the second. Politicians don't even bother to lie about doing anything about it and frankly, why should they bother? A vast number of citizens seem perfectly willing to keep the status quo. I'm not but for the life of me I can't come up with any credible solutions either. Just like most things in life, it's way above my pay grade and intelligence grade, apparently. Honestly, watching the recklessness of our elected officials and much of the electorate, that refuse to hold their feet to the fire, is akin to riding a mythical bus that's on a very long journey going nowhere, especially because the route leads to precipice and the brakes on the bus are prone to failure. We the people try to be hopeful but inevitably and instinctively, we all know the outcome will end in disaster.

I recently employed the services of a web hosting firm, I think that's what they're called I'm not entirely up on the vernacular just yet. I then got myself a domain name and now I pondered, the question, which was, now what? Now what, indeed, while I know my way around computers an am not afraid to learn new skills, I hadn't the foggiest clue on what to do or how I planned to tackle the projects I had been pondering for some time.

The questions swirling around in my mind consisted of how in the world was I going to tie in the recently acquired domain name to the internet address of the server on the virtual private server? Was I going to need Secure Socket Layer (SSL) certificates, where would I get those and how much would they cost? I wished I had made web development and deployment a priority when I started embracing computer technology. Well initially I had, when I had just started, I remember learning how to use HTML and creating my first web pages but soon I scaled down my enthusiasm when I discovered then, that I'd need a domain name and that I'd need a host for my server and that it wouldn't be practical to run a web server from my home. Well that's what I was led to believe reading all the documents at the time. Not to mention the daunting perception I had about setting up a HTTP server like Apache, who's configuration file I knew I would have difficulty understanding without step by step instruction. I soon found that the web side of computer science didn't appeal to me so much anymore. So I decided I'd focus my attention on programming, applications, operating systems and kernel matters. I do alright, it was never my profession, you see, just a very rewarding hobby and extremely satisfying as a learning tool. However, I digress, what was I to do with my newly acquired implements?

Turns out it wasn't as daunting as I expected, I got my domain name from hover.com and all I had to do was log into hover's site, go to the DNS section and change the value, in this case the IP address from the number on hover's page to the IP address of my VPS server and that worked. It wasn't so hard at all.

What motivated me to do this was my obsession to start my own Mastodon instance. While it's easy enough to join many Mastodon instances, many of them seemed just as authoritarian and censorship prone as Facebook and Twitter ever were, especially whenever any topic right of center was posted and no matter where I went, this fact was the same. I'd get emails from admins, basically warning me that, that type of free speech wasn't acceptable. Mind you, my speech wasn't anything but a few post in support of President Trump but apparently that kind of talk was verboten.

Since I knew that Mastodon is free and open software, I knew that I could start my own instance on my own terms, sure, my kind of speech may still be unacceptable to some and while it may get me ostracized, in some circles, at least I can't be kicked out of a community, because of who I happen to be and what I say. At least I'm hoping that, that will be true.

Setting up a Mastodon instance was a little more daunting that I had anticipated, so I decided to learn more about doing so before I wasted time. Since time was of essence to me, I decided to have a Mastodon hosting service do the hard work for me until I become more proficient in such matters.

I wanted my Mastodon instance pronto so I decided to go that route temporarily. I'm admin and sole occupant of my instance and I like it that way. I search out people I believe are interesting, funny, tech savvy and the ever rare conservative right winger to follow. I appreciate all the people who do follow me back and will try not to offend anyone. I love the freedom I get from actually searching out people I wish to hear from, without any ulterior motive of having them follow me back, which seems to be the common motivational imperative on the many other social networks.

Anyway, paying to get my Mastodon instance established left me with a VPS and nothing to do with it so I decided that one of the most useful things I could do, would be to start a Mumble VOIP server on it. That wouldn't be too hard I pondered and I was delightfully correct. A mumble server's configuration file is mostly good as is and with just a few alterations, such as setting up the SuperUser's password nothing much had to be done. I use Debian and love using that Gnu/Linux distribution and so I chose it as the operating system for my instance as well, so installing Mumble was as trivial as using apt install.

I've always wanted my own Mumble server but I never wanted to host it from my home IP. I don't know why it took me so long to deploy one until now, perhaps, I've always thought web hosting was more expensive than it is, or perhaps, prices just became more affordable. In any event, I love it that I have some presence on the internet, even if it's in a small way, by some standards. I like the fact that I won't get kicked off Mumble because some admin didn't like my political views. I mean, some people get offended by me just talking about how good it is to be free and what freedom means to me. It's unbelievable. I've had a few bad experiences on some networks, however, I've also made friends along the way and it's always cool to know that we can still keep in touch since we can always retire to my server and yuck it up.

Besides setting up the Mumble server, I decided that having a blog would be a good use for all that space left on the VPS, I mean Mumble is a very small program, it would be a waste of resources not to find another project to implement on my VPS.

I decided that a lightweight blog would suit me fine. I've loved WriteFreely since the first time I learned about it's existence and I especially loved the idea that it was federated and used the Activity Pub protocol. Which meant that people on the fediverse, could easily follow my blog if they liked my content. For the uninitiated, the fediverse, a joining of the words federated and universe, are a group of very useful servers and utilities that use Activity Pub to connect to each other making it easy to still connect with people you like, who are on different networks. It's revolutionary, is what it is, because unlike Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and the rest of the centralized social media networks, everyone you follow and like must be on those networks respectively. Not so with the federated networks you can start your own instance, join any one that's to your liking and follow your friends who are on any other network. It's analogous to email. That is, one can have a Gmail account and have friends with Yahoo mail, Netzero mail and so on and it doesn't stop one from sending and receiving emails from them. Federation has the potential to change the landscape and thinking, of how we start viewing social media in general. I'm hopeful that it will succeed.

The documentation for WriteFreely, in my opinion, seemed dreadful, perhaps I should volunteer to the project and help out in that particular area. I couldn't get my instance setup because there was a lack of intuition in the documents that I found. However, I finally gleaned some insight and things started working. Well, perhaps I was a bit harsh about the scope of the documentation, because it was in reading them, that I successfully set up a Mysql or MariaDB database, in this case, so parts of the documentation were much more clear than others.

I got most of the pieces working except whenever I pointed my web browser to my domain I had an error 403 that said Forbidden. However, on my server, whenever I pointed the Lynx browser to localhost:8080, WriteFreely was on full display. So I realized that Nginx was working, WriteFreely was working and MariaDB was too. So the problem had to be human error, me. I did some more research and found out that I knew very little if anything about reverse proxy. I searched a little but I didn't find anything immediately but I was excited at the progress. I wanted instant gratification too, however, so I visited my friends at Skyn3t and I got major help from Nuggy and Zer0. Thanks again guys!

Speaking of WriteFreely, the main reason why I decided that having my own instance would be a good reason is, I had joined a few writefreely instances and wrote a few articles in support of President Trump and to my surprise they're no longer over there, my posts I mean. So so much for free speech and freedom of expression, only being censored by the Masters of Silicon Valley. Apparently, the grassroots types like it as much as anyone else too.

So the site seems to be running well and I decided I should review the logs, in particular the auth logs. What I found was horrifying apparently in the space of one day, there were over thirteen thousand attempts to log into my server. The crackers are indeed, very busy. Well I'm happy everything's working out and I think I'll enjoy them for a few hours before I find some other project to play with. I'll enjoy my Mastodon instance, my Mumble VOIP chat room and my newly implemented blog, all in their infancy. I read somewhere that truly happy people are the ones whom are mostly satisfied with the things that they have, I agree. It's pointless to overlook the good things or the bad, for that matter, that one possesses, totally ignoring or neglecting them, in search of vain ambitions and regret. I'm going to enjoy this happy time and continue on my journey to self improvement. Thanks for taking the time to read this and take care of yourselves.
